Got Lower Back Pain?

Massage may help!

"Americans spend at least $50 billion each year to treat lower back pain, the second most common neurological problem in the U.S. after headaches, according to the National Institutes of Health."

"A new study in the Annals of Internal Medicine finds that massage may be an effective therapy for treating lower back pain, when compared with conventional medical treatment."  ~ from cnn.com

The study  included 401 people from age 20 to 65 who had chronic low back pain of unknown cause.  They each received an hour of either Swedish (relaxation) massage or therapeutic massage once a week.  After 10 weeks, study participants experienced less pain and better mobility with either type of massage than patients receiving usual medical care.

So if you're experiencing low back pain, consider giving massage a try.  Radiance has a number of exceptional therapists and we're open 7 days a week for massage.  Give us a call at 357-9470 to schedule an appointment.
