May Class Feature - Changing Woman: Journey Well through Menopause

Changing Woman: Journey Well through Menopause

Sunday, May 21
12–4pm

Even if you have been resisting the idea that you are going through “the change of life,” there is no stopping or avoiding the process. The shift from fertility to menopause is a profound yet sometimes challenging transformation, and there is great beauty and power to be discovered in the journey if it is engaged mindfully.

In this popular class, we will explore the terrain most often encountered by a Changing Woman—physical, emotional and spiritual. We will draw on a rich tradition of plant allies and other holistic techniques that can help ease our passage, to help us emerge with more vitality and potency than ever. Handouts will be provided; herbal teas and a generous sampling of beneficial snack foods will be served.

Class is limited to women currently undergoing or completing hormonal changes—or who suspect in their deepest hearts that they are. You are not alone, you are not going crazy, and you need not “fade away”!

Instructor: Carol Trasatto. Carol is an herbalist with 35 years of experience who has, herself, traversed the changes of the menopausal transition. Having crossed this lifestage bridge—personally and with hundreds of clients—she understands the process from the inside...and feels honored to assist other women through this often deeply emotional transformation. Contact Carol at nettlelove@gmail.com with any questions.

Cost: $75, $60 each if two friends register/pay at same time.

May Class Feature - The Seasonal Canine

The Seasonal Canine

Wednesday, May 3
6–7:30 pm

Health doesn’t remain in stasis. It ebbs and flows—just like the seasons—and follows a cycle of cleansing, building and balancing. Nature’s cyclical patterns serve as a guide for balancing health and wellbeing for ourselves as well as our dogs.
As your dog’s caregiver, having a vital dog is a top priority. To achieve this level of health, you need a care regimen that considers the whole dog: mind, body and spirit. Using seasonally guided approaches to healthcare, this can easily be achieved.
Join canine herbalist Rita Hogan as she discusses seasonal health and the subtleties of nutrition and herbal support. She will focus on: Identifying each season’s strengths and weaknesses; Seasonal care scheduling and element associations; Preparing for energetic change; Building a consistent seasonal care regimen with herbs and nutrition.
Instructor: Rita Hogan. Rita is a canine herbalist and co-founder of Farm Dog Naturals (farmdognaturals.com), an herbal remedy company for the all-natural dog. Rita combines nature with her love for dogs by offering consulting that focuses on dogs as individuals: mind, body and spirit. Her practice incorporates herbal medicine, complementary therapies, and environmental stewardship to help dogs and people find balance and partnership with nature. Connect with Rita through her website, canineherbalist.com
