Fat-soluble Vitamin D actually acts as a hormone, with vitamin D receptors found within many types of tissue throughout the body—including neurons, osteoblasts, muscle, intestines, immune, skin, liver, and a variety of endocrine organs. It is known to help regulate appropriate levels of both calcium and insulin in the bloodstream. Low levels of D have been associated with incidences of cancer, low bone density, degenerative nerve conditions, heart disease, and immune compromise. It is an area ripe for further research.
This new product joins the shelf with liquid D in dropper bottles, and vitamin D in capsules and tablets. All vitamin D sold at Radiance is D3 [cholecalciferol], sourced from lanolin.
