Radiance is now carrying Fungi Perfecti's Host Defense mushroom line.
The featured mushroom this week is Agarikon (Fomitopsis officinalis).
Once wide spread, Agarikon was known in ancient Greece as 'elixirium ad longam vitam', the 'elixer of long life'. Exclusive to temperate rainforests, Agarikon is now extremely rare, surviving in the old growth forests of the Pacific Northwest. Fungi Perfecti has focused on building an extensive culture library to preserve this species.
Agarikon is strongly anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti viral.
